As its name implies, this feature, which was created in partnership with Allrecipes, lets Snapchat users scan just about any ingredient so they can grocery shop, cook, and find meal inspiration more efficiently than ever before. As avid Snapchat fans may know, this feature has already been put to use in several ways and can help users identify everything from dog breeds to wine labels, but this is the first time the feature has been applied to food ingredients....

Mexican Oregano Not all oregano is created equal. The flowering herb, which belongs to the mint family, grows across the globe, with distinguishable flavors from Central America to the Mediterranean. Chef Oscar Hernandez, Tacombi’s Culinary Director and Master Taquero, is an advocate of stocking dry Mexican oregano, which can also be freshly purchased (or grown in home gardens, the plant is from Mexico but can thrive anywhere). “It has lemon flavors and even tones of licorice,” Hernandez says....
